Leek Show 2013 Review
A couple of weeks ago, the team at LessCO~2 were exhibiting at the Leek Show, Staffordshire. This is a local show to the company and with it being in its 51st year, it is a traditional family, farming and agricultural show, which has it all! A main Arena with great entertainment, show classes for cattle , poultry, sheep and dogs, Show- jumping and driving events, not forgetting the Craft Marquees, full to over-flowing with lots of hand-made and locally sourced goodies!
This year was no exception – it is all about family, and LessCO~2 is a family run business with many of our team related to one another, which makes working together an extension of that family. We all pitch in to help and so we did on the day, starting very early in the morning to make sure our stall was set up and ready to greet potential customers, old and new, along with an educational theme this year. We also sponsored one of the Cattle classes which supports local farmers.
We were interested in engaging with people who were interested in why we should use wind energy and wind turbines, and also those who wanted to speak with Dominic (our in-house planner) regarding planning information; but also an engagement with the local community was important as we are a local company in Leek, Staffordshire and want to educate as well as inform people about the benefit of wind power. All in all, we met a lot of positive people, customers and potential interested parties alike. Lots of follow up work to come from a superb day at Leek Show!
